    He immigrated to Ipswitch, Massachusetts Bay Colony, and was made free on 28 Feb. 1642/43 at Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony.He immigrated before June 1653 to Hashamomack, Southold, Suffolk Co., NY. He was Constable in 1661 at Setauket (Brookhaven), Suffolk Co., NY. In 1668 he immigrated to Newtown, Queens Co., NY and was elected Constable Apr. 1669. He witnessed Holland and England declare war in 1673 and the Dutch capture New York on 30 Jul. 1673.He was selected as one of six people from "Middleburg" to be presented to the Dutch Court as candidates for magistate. He served as Overseer at Newtown, Queens Co., NY between Nov. 1674 and 1675. He was elected as town clerk in 1675 at Newtown, Queens Co., NY.
